Gateway Rehabilitation Center
The motto of the Gateway Rehabilitation Center is hope has a home. That's exactly what you'll find at this extensive rehab facility -- hope. They offer a multitude of services for many different types of issues. Their services are categorized by division. The first division and the most utilized is called the Genesis division. This division offers inpatient and outpatient services for chemically dependent teens and adults and even children with various mental issues. They also offer prevention programs and educational programs for individuals of all ages.
The adult program of the Genesis Division includes inpatient detoxification that takes place in an adult stabilization unit. The detoxification period is one that can be dangerous and unpleasant for many patients if not properly supervised. Although the process may still be unpleasant for the individual, they are watched around the clock by skilled doctors and given any treatment deemed necessary. Some patients are weaned off their substances if cold turkey is not a safe option. After the detox and stabilization period the patient is moved to an intermediary facility for continued individual and group rehab efforts.
In the intermediate rehabilitation facility the patients are encouraged to eat a nutritious diet, pursue physical activity, complete simple tasks and chores, attend individual and group therapy and learn to function as a clean and sober individual. The Youth Treatment program at Gateway also offers inpatient detoxification for addicted youths as well as intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, outpatient counseling and support services for non-addicted youth of addicted parents. There is also a family program that is for the family and friends of the patient being treated that teaches them what they need to know to support and assist their loved one.
Physical dependence and addiction can be a life-threatening condition. Some addicts lose their homes, their marriages, their children and sometimes even their lives.
